June 14th News reporter Shams talked about his expectations for the Knicks to find a head coach on the show.
"The Knicks' coach selection work will be more inclined to former NBA coaches, such as Mike Brown, Jenkins, and Mike Malone. I think they have completed the assessment of current (on-service) head coaches. To be honest, this kind of thing will usually be behind the scenes, but this time the situation is very public. I expect them to interview some former NBA head coaches today and tomorrow and this weekend, and maybe even current NBA assistant coaches." Shams said.
According to previous reports, the Knicks applied for interviews with Finch (Timberwolves), Uduka (Rockets), Kidd (Mavericks) and Snyder (Hawks), and Donovan (Bulls) were all rejected by their teams.
