NBA Clippers Trading Step 2: Officially Cut Center Eubanks

6:13am, 3 July 2025Basketball

On July 2, the NBA Clippers revealed that the team has officially cut center Eubanks, who will join the Kings after 48 hours of the clarification period. In fact, this was something that had been expected. Yesterday, the Clippers and Bucks champion center Lopez reached a two-year, $18 million franchise contract, and Eubanks lost the role of a substitute inside center. However, he still attracted the attention of many teams in the trading market, and finally chose the Kings. The Kings completed the transaction with the Nuggets today and sent off center Valanciunas. They also needed a suitable center player.

28-year-old Eubanks plays as a center and plays for the NBA Clippers in the 2024-2025 season. He plays in a total of 60 games in the regular season, averages 12.4 minutes per game, scores 4.7 points + 3.8 rebounds + 0.9 assists + 0.2 steals + 0.7 blocks, shooting percentage of 59.3%, three-point shooting percentage of 50.0%, and free throw shooting percentage of 66.2%.

After laying off Eubanks, the Clippers saved another $8 million in salary space. After they signed with Grand Lopez yesterday, the inside centers would have a double tower combination of Zubac and Grand Los Angeles. Next, the Clippers will continue to sign and upgrade in the trading market: they need to recruit an experienced substitute guard and a No. 4 striker. The remaining free markets in the market are also players such as Chris Paul, Westbrook, Dinwiddie, Ben Simmons, and the forward players include Lyles, Horton Tucker, etc. I wonder how the Clippers choose?
