On June 15, former UFC welterweight (77kg) champion Usman started his latest battle, with his opponent being Barkley, ranked 7th in the welterweight category. Usman won the gold belt in 2019 and has successfully defended his title many times and is regarded as the dominant figure.

In 2022, Usman was upset by Edwards and lost his belt. In the second match between the two, Usman failed to take revenge and was judged to lose. In 2023, Usman lost to Chimayev again, and thus suffered three consecutive losses. Currently, Usman ranks fifth in the welterweight category.
Bakley is a boxer with a strong upward momentum in recent years. He once KOed it in 2023 with a cool turn-around leg technique, shocking the world's martial arts world. Afterwards, Barkley defeated several masters, and was in a six-game winning streak before this game and was regarded as a potential champion challenger. At the beginning of the game, Usman launched a throwing offensive and successfully knocked Barkley down and suppressed him. After that, Barkley was very passive and was suppressed, and was hit by Usman's ground and was hit hard by blood. In the first round, Usman can be said to have defeated his opponent completely.
