Funny, Halliburton talks about "making up data" after taking the Pacers G4 to defeat the Knicks

Tyrese Halliburton doesn't want to hear about his personal data after the Pacers quit in Game 4 against the Knicks. In Game 4 of the tough home victory over the New York Knicks, the Indiana Pacers are now just one step away from entering the NBA Finals. Even after the Knicks reversed and won Game 3, the Indiana Pacers still rebounded strongly with a staggering score of 130-121, leading 3-1 in the series.

In the playoffs, role players should sometimes get a lot of praise because they helped the team win. In this game, the Pacers’ star players showed their strength. Tyreth Halliburton created a playoff legend, but he was reluctant to talk about his stats after the game.

"We sometimes make up some data to make ourselves look better," Halliburton said. "I think I'm just trying to play the right way. I just want to influence the victory. I've been telling you this for the past two years. After the third season, I got a big contract and now I'm taking on a new role, the most important thing for me is how to influence the victory."

Halliburton's data may seem like fabricated at first glance, but they are real. He scored 31 points, 12 rebounds, 15 assists and 4 steals in the whole game, while not making a single turnover, becoming the first player in NBA playoff history to do this. He has been extremely aggressive since the start, but he did not sacrifice efficiency. He made 11 of 23 shots and 5 of 12 three-pointers. The Pacers desperately need Halliburton to play a great game against the Knicks' hot offense, and they did. Pascal Siakam also contributed 30 points, with two Indiana stars dominating the offensive end from beginning to end.

Now, the Pacers may just need their star point guard to play another exciting game to lock in a place in the NBA Finals that no one would have thought of. Although the Knicks' current situation seems not optimistic, two of the last three games of the series are home games, so the Pacers need to be highly alert to Game 5 and subsequent games.
