On the second day after he was eliminated in the playoffs, Doncic sent a text message to his agent Siegel, asking him to start his offseason training plan as soon as possible. Doncic said to this: "Every summer I try to practice something different. You know, this summer is different, which motivates me to be better."

It is reported that starting in June this year, Doncic began implementing an intermittent fasting program designed to suppress inflammation and promote body recovery. Six days a week, he barely swallows two high-protein meals and a cup of protein shakes, and he will not eat his first meal of the day until he completes 90 minutes of high-intensity morning exercises.
Doncic said early in his NBA career, he received advice mainly from Mavericks trainers and nutritionists. After returning to Europe during the offseason, limited guidance left him a little helpless. And during the season, the cruel NBA away run gave him almost no time to adjust his diet. Doncic said: "In the NBA, you're almost always traveling and not at home. For me, you know, going home after the season is a big deal. I can meet my friends, my family, I can meet everyone. So it's definitely not easy. I was only 18 when I first came to the NBA. Honestly, I don't know what to expect in the first four or five years. Then I felt like 'I have to do something'."
Then Doncic continued to reveal the training content, and his training throughout July was centered on emergency stops, speed shifts and other content. Doncic said he hasn't played five-on-five this summer, so it's not until the end of August that he can know if he's really more explosive on the court when he represents Slovenia in the European Basketball Championship qualifier. However, Doncic said that he hadn't felt so good for many years: "My sleep, my body, everything... I feel like I'm resting more."
