June 21, PSG officially announced that NBA star Durant and club parent company Qatar Sports Investment Corporation (QSI) have signed an investment and strategic partnership agreement, which means that Durant will become a minority shareholder of Paris Saint-Germain.

Under the agreement, Durant will acquire a minority stake in Paris Saint-Germain through Boardroom, a media and investment company co-founded with long-term partner Rich Kleiman. As early as August 2024, Durant had indirectly established contact with Paris Saint-Germain through Arctos Partners. Earlier this week, Qatar Sports Investment Company formally signed an equity purchase and strategic cooperation agreement with Durant’s personal investment platform Boardroom, confirming that Durant directly became a minority shareholder of Paris Saint-Germain.

As part of this collaboration, Boardroom and Qatar Sports Investment Corporation will jointly carry out a series of commercial, investment and content production projects. Durant will also participate in the club's diversification and growth strategies in the sports and business sectors, including co-development of derivative products and original media content; promoting club brands in the United States and other international markets; supporting PSGforCommunities (Club Charity Foundation); and providing professional advice on Paris Saint-Germain's multi-project sports strategy, especially in the development of basketball.
